Look at the beautiful sunset over Hidden Valley Lake this evening. Not only was the sky gorgeous, but the colors were reflecting off the water too. Breathtaking!

The Democrats introduced two articles of impeachment. They have nothing because there IS nothing. This whole process is going to come back and bite them.

I'm not smart

I've posted this before, but I thought it was worth repeating.

Twice over the Thanksgiving holiday I was at parties where trivia games were played. On both occasions the games began with people asking that I be on their teams. People give me far too much credit. I am truly not smart. I simply have a knack for remembering minute details about a variety of subjects. Having a good memory does not make a person smart. In fact, even my memory is not what it used to be, so even with other people's definition of smart, I'm not nearly as smart as I used to be. So let me be clear. I am NOT smart. I am weird and quirky and have a penchant toward remembering things that most people don't care about, that are important to even fewer people than that.

The original "Hotfire"

The Meyer family started boating and fishing in the mid 70's. This recreational boating and fishing eventually blossomed into a full fledged Lake Erie fishing charter business in the mid to late 80's. The photo below is not our actual boat, but one that is almost exactly like it. This is a green and white Steury. Our was an 18' runabout. We fished and skied at Brookville Lake, Lake Cumberland, Lake Monroe, the Ohio River, Houghton Lake, and Lake Erie. This was the very first "Hotfire".

The weather has turned cold... just like it's supposed to because it's DECEMBER! I sure could use some of that global warming right about now.

Grumpy old man

I read something recently where a guy said, "The older I get, the more I understand why my dad was a grumpy SOB". I really identify with that. Things sure do get on my nerves worse than they used to, and I completely understand the guy that used to yell at us kids to get off his grass. Age is a funny thing and it certainly changes your perspective on a lot of things.
