Back at it

We were back at it again today. We only caught one catfish, but it was a pretty good one. It looks like the student has become the master!

We are underway

The fishing season is underway. There is no way we are going to let the corona virus stop us. Our favorite spot produced some whoppers yesterday.

Passing the time

Here in Hidden Valley Lake, folks are struggling with what to do with themselves during this lengthy stay-at-home order. We are not unlike tens of thousands of other communities around the nation. Yesterday someone had the good idea of having an impromptu sidewalk chalk event. Everyone was invited to draw something and then post their address on the community message board. Yesterday evening folks were invited to drive around and look at everyone's artistic creations. I didn't draw anything in my driveway because nobody wants to look at a bunch of stick figures. However, Tami and I did drive around to check out what other people did. Here are a few that we saw:

Snoring

I tend to snore... a lot. Unfortunately snoring doesn't bother the sleeper, it disturbs the person next to you who is NOT sleeping.

Stir Crazy

Yesterday Governor DeWine extended the stay at home order until May 1st. There are only so many indoor activities a person can do. You can only watch so much television. You can only clean out so many closets or organize so many cabinets. You can only clean your house so many times. In fact, a person can go downright stir crazy. Thank goodness this crisis is happening during a time when the weather is turning nice. This would be so much worse if we were inside our homes in December when it gets dark at 5:00, and the weather is really cold. At least in April we can get outside, take a walk, do some yard work, or even go fishing. Soon this will all be over and it will be nothing but a memory. Let's all hang in there. We can do this!

A little humor

Through these trying times, you have to have a little humor. If you don't, you'll drive yourself crazy. How much TV can a person watch? How much internet can a person surf? How many crosswords can a person do? We have another month of this stay-at-home order.

And the beat goes on...

The Corona Virus crisis continues, and it looks like we may be in quarantine, and adhering to stay at home orders for another month. President Trump has recommended we continue to practice "Social Distancing" until at least April 30th. That means everything except essential businesses will continue to be shut down. Shortages on cleaning and hygiene products, canned goods, and meat at grocery stores will likely continue. Most of us will be cooped up inside our homes except for necessary trips to the grocery store, or to get some exercise.

Let's hang in there, everybody. We can do this!
