You know you're getting old...

Last weekend at the estate sale Tami was running, there was an 8 track tape player for sale. Many people looked at it for nostalgic reasons and more than a few laughed when they saw it. One serious browser even went home, retrieved an 8 track tape and tested the player out. In the end, it turns out the 8 track player was broken (it probably hadn't been used in 30 years), but it sure created quite a buzz.

I remember the days as a kid when mom and dad would take us on vacation in our (then) state-of-the art conversion van. It had a lot of cool features, but I think dad's favorite was his 8 track tape player. We would cruise down the road listening to music only dad liked. It's funny to think back about that stuff. The 8 track tape player was such a part of our lives and now most people under thirty have no idea what it even was.
