I never really thought about this before, but this person makes an interesting observation... Remind me to never to travel with Tom Hanks.

In Castaway he is in a plane crash and ends up stranded on a desert island
In Apollo 13 he is nearly lost in space forever after a mishap aboard his spacecraft.
In Captain Phillips his cargo ship is hijacked by Somali pirates.
In Sully he makes an emergency landing in a commercial airliner in the Hudson River.

It's official... If Tom Hanks is on my plane, ship, or spaceship... I'm getting off.
