Gone way too soon

June 30th... Today would have been my dad's 75th birthday. It's difficult to imagine what he would have been like at this age since he died so young at the age of 47. There's one thing I know for certain. He would have adored his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He would have been proud of his kids as adults and would have loved their spouses.

Happy 75th, Dad. I wish you were here so I could tell you myself.

Passing the torch

This is the moment I realized the student became the master. The day my son became a better fisherman than me. I taught him well and the torch has been passed. Way to go, Michael! I am proud of you!

This is us!

This is my marriage! Finally someone has put into words why Tami and I have such a wonderful marriage. Any time we go to McDonald's or Frisch's, I can count on getting the pickles from Tami's burger.

Getting Old?

6 Weeks

Six weeks from today (42 days) I will walk my little girl down the aisle. Six weeks from today Tami and I become empty nesters. Our lives are about to drastically change and we will be making major adjustments.

Summer Solstice

Today is the LONGEST day of the year... the summer solstice. I absolutely love having daylight until almost 10:00. I took full advantage of it too. After the deluge of rainfall that fell through most of the day, I couldn't start mowing my lawn until almost 8:00. I finished just a few minutes ago at just a few minutes before 10. Thank you, Lord for all that daylight!

The Democrats are claiming there is a Blue Wave coming with this year's midterm elections. Many experts dispute this claim, and predict there will be little change in house and Senate majorities. Others claim the Republicans may even make gains. President Trump's success so far is tough to argue. How about a Red Wave? This country would be better for it.
