We are REAL homeowners

After more than 28 years of monthly mortgage payments, I am happy to announce that Tami and I paid off our house today. We are now homeowners in every sense of the word. The Lord has truly blessed us and provided for us for our entire marriage.

A Puzzle First

Just when you think you've seen it all... We finished a jigsaw puzzle last night. There was an extra, identical piece in the box.

Warm Christmas

What do you do when it's 65 degrees and the warmest Christmas Day on record? You grill steaks of course. We enjoyed flat iron steaks and baked potatoes for Christmas dinner. I must say it beats the daylights out of ham or turkey!

Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas to one and all! This is the culminating day of the Advent calendar my dear son-in-law, Barry, made for us.

When you gotta...

When you gotta go, you gotta go! I'm 54. It only gets worse and worse. I'm going to the grocery store. Better pee before I go (then having to pee again while at the grocery store). Oh look, a restroom! I don't have to go right now. Oh wait! Yes I do. I'm going to work. Definitely have to pee before I go. (Arrive at work and rush in to the restroom because I have to pee... AGAIN!)

Doing My Job

When state test scores are low, the teachers are blamed. Why didn't you teach this, that or the other? Or Why didn't you teach this, that or the other differently? There is never any mention of students putting zero effort into school. There is no talk of students taking zero responsibility for their education. Nope! It's always the teacher's fault. Ummm... I'm teaching like there's no tomorrow. Most students resist me at every turn.

You're Late!

My boss told me this was the fifth time this week I was late. He said, you know what this means, don't you? I said, yes, it means it's Friday! Haha!

March!

I asked my wife when her birthday is. She said March first. So I walked around the room and asked her again!

Disagree?

Anybody disagree?
On a related note--- In marriage, her money is her money, and my money is her money. See? It all works out!

I admit it

I admit this is true. I can't believe it about myself, but it's true. My favorite stove burner is front left.

Under Pressure

When you hear the opening riff to Queen's "Under Pressure" and you get all excited... Only to hear Vanilla Ice say, "Yo! VIP! Let's kick it!". Ice Ice Baby...

Logic

It's tough to argue with that logic!

The Accident

Me calling insurance company: Yes, Hello. I just hit an animal with my truck. Am I covered?

Insurance agent: Yes sir! May I ask... What kind of animal did you hit?

 Me: A fish.

Insurance agent: Um...........
