Happy Easter

I have a very busy day on Sunday. Therefore I am posting my Easter greetings tonight.

Happy Easter! Christ the Lord is risen today. Alleluia!

He is risen. He is risen indeed!

Almost Easter

It's almost Easter and the weather has been nothing but cruddy.

I would never play tricks on my grandchildren, but these are still pretty funny.

A sad day

Today was supposed to be a happy day. Today was supposed to be a celebration. Today was supposed to be an unofficial holiday. None of that is going to happen today. The Reds Opening Day has been postponed until tomorrow due to inclement weather. This is the first time in my lifetime Opening Day has ever been postponed. It's a sad, gloomy day in Cincinnati. It certainly doesn't feel like hope is springing eternal today. Maybe my outlook on life will be different tomorrow. As for today, I get to look out the window at nothing but, dreary, rainy weather. Blech!

Spring Break?

I'm on spring break and the weather STINKS! It's not snowing, but the weather is cold and rainy. It figures! I was hoping to spend my week working in the yard. NOPE!

Misused Phrases

Be honest. How many of these commonly misused phrases are you guilty of misusing?

Christmas in Hidden Valley

Are these photos of Christmas in Hidden Vally Lake?

Nope! March 24th... well into the first week of spring and the first day of my spring break from school.

This sucks swamp water!

More Snow

It's March 24th and more snow is coming our way. UGH!

He's moving in!

Tami and I babysat the grandkids for a few hours last night. We colored Easter eggs with them, but I have no photos. We grandparents have three hands between us, and the grandkids have six. Simple math tells you that is a 2 to 1 disadvantage. However, when dealing with grandchildren, simple math does not apply. Those six little hands seemed more like a hundred. Under those circumstances, there were no extra hands for taking photos.

Before the grandkids arrived, we received the following photo from their mother. The accompanying message simply said, "I told him he could pack a few things".

This is Elliott's idea of packing a few things. So cute!

Crash Bang Boom!

Ok. So I have yet ANOTHER reason to hate snow. Yesterday, as I was walking down the steps on my deck to get into the hot tub, I slipped on some snow and fell down the steps. I'm a bit battered and bruised this morning, but other than general soreness, I'm no worse for the wear. Actually the thing that hurts the most is my pride. I feel so stupid for not being more cautious on snowy steps. The soreness I'm feeling this morning is a painful reminder that I'm not as young as I used to be. I'm thankful that I don't have any broken bones, dislocated joints, or cuts requiring stitches. Nevertheless, I know I need to be more careful in the future. Having said that, I will close with this... Spring? Where are you? Please come quickly. This snow is about to kill me.
