I've been silent on the whole "Gun Control" issue since the school shooting in Parkland, Florida. Most people know where I stand on the issue. As far as schools arming teachers to protect students... that's a topic for another day. All I want to say is the idea of tighter gun control laws will not fix any of the problems we currently have in this nation. Bad guys and crazy people who want to shoot up schools, malls, churches, or workplaces will find a way to get a gun no matter what laws are in place. Chicago, Illinois and Washington DC have some of the strictest gun laws in the whole country, yet they have some of the highest gun violence and murder rates in the whole nation. Bad guys will get guns. Period. Stricter gun laws will not stop them. The liberal logic on this is not logical at all. Timothy McVeigh used a bomb in a moving van to blow up a federal office building in Oklahoma City. Should we ban moving trucks? People are stabbed to death all the time. Should we ban all knives? The answer to our crime problem in this nation is not more laws or making current laws stricter. This has been a fallen, broken world since Adam and Eve ate the fruit in the Garden of Eden. Since that day sin entered the world and evil exists in the heart of all men. That's the root of the problem. You cannot legislate away sin. I don't care what laws are passed, there will always be darkness in this world. There's only One who brings light into that darkness, and that's Jesus Christ. in John 8:12 Jesus said it himself, "I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life". I think that makes it pretty clear.
