Hit close to home
This one made me laugh because it is sooooooo like me! I used to have 20/20 vision. In a matter of 10 years I have become blind as a bat!

A very, VERY special day!
The Lord has blessed us beyond all measure!
While vacationing in Oklahoma, Tami and I celebrated our 30th wedding anniversary. The kids made us a video with personalized messages and old photos. I grilled some steaks. It was a perfect day with my kids, grandkids, and sons-in-law.
On July 20, 1991, I made the best decision of my life. I married an intelligent, wise, caring, loving, beautiful woman. Where have 30 years gone? It seems like yesterday I met this incredible woman in college. Now here we are 30 years later staring down the barrel of retirement, and planning the next phase of our lives.
Just as it is in any healthy marriage, we have had our peaks and valleys. Thankfully the peaks outnumber the valleys exponentially.
Thank you for 30 wonderful years, honey. I look forward to 30 more! I love you!
A wonderful gift
My children and sons-in-law gave me a wonderful gift. After seeing my grill in battle worn condition, they purchased me a new one. It is absolutely perfect and I love it. I assembled it yesterday, and I can't wait to try it out. She's a real beauty!

Just some photos
Here is a smattering of photos from our trip. More photos and a report later. I'm too tired today. Vacationing is hard work.

Big Day Tomorrow
In less than 24 hours we'll know... Boy or Girl? Blue or Pink? Thomas and Abby's gender reveal party kicks off at 1:00. Can't wait to find out if we will have a new grandson or grandaughter .

Never Fails
This is absolutely true. I can be on my feet teaching ALL DAY, but the moment I get tired and decide to sit down for a minute... invariably my principal will walk in. The principal's conclusion? That teacher must do nothing but sit at his desk all day! Sigh!

Fireworks
The Hidden Valley fireworks were especially good this year. Our theory is that they wanted to make up for not having them last year (due to COVID). What an impressive show!
