The election is over and we conservatives did not exactly get the result we were hoping for (but neither did the democrats). There was no Blue wave. There was no Red Wave. There was likely a Blue Trickle. The Democrats took control of the House of Representatives by ONE SEAT. Yes, they have a majority, but not by much. Look for the democrat-controlled house to investigate Trump to the point of ridiculousness and look for them to attempt impeachment. Look for the democrats to obstruct everything they possibly can. Trumps agenda may not come to a grinding halt, but it will creep forward at a snail’s pace rather than charging ahead like a freight train rolling down a hill.
The Republicans lost. The people have spoken and we will take our lumps. But do you know what we WON’T do? We won’t riot in the streets. We won’t stomp our feet and throw a tantrum like a toddler. We won’t shout about resisting. We won’t threaten violence against those democrats who won elections. We will carry on, go to work, live our lives, and vote in the next election hoping for a better result.
And speaking of the election… Kudos to all three of my kids for being good citizens and exercising their right to vote. I am proud of all three!
