All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work. 2 Timothy 3:16-17
Notice it doesn't say SOME Scripture is God-breathed. The first two words of the passage are ALL SCRIPTURE! We don't get to pick and choose what we like and disregard what we don't like, or what we feel doesn't apply to us. God's Word is sufficient. It's all we need.
Back in the day people who cherry-picked scripture were called Salad Bar Christians. The Bible was one big salad bar where people chose what they wanted and bypassed what they didn't want. A better analogy for today is trail mix. Pick out the M&M's and peanuts, leave the raisins behind. As Christians, we can't do that. We must take in all scripture and seal it in our hearts and minds. And yes, sometimes we will be rebuked and suffer reproof. We must accept the whole package or nothing at all. There is no in-between.
