Challenger
Where were you 35 years ago today? I had just finished my day of classes in college, and stopped by Long John Silvers to pick up my meager paycheck. Upon walking in to the restaurant, my coworkers asked me if I had heard what happened. I hadn't. It was then they informed the Space Shuttle Challenger had exploded 73 seconds after liftoff. Stunned... I drove home to find my mom glued to the TV. We spent the rest of the day watching the news of the tragedy as it unfolded.
It's hard to believe it has been 35 years since that fateful day. The United States Space Program has never been the same.
Where were you January 28th, 1986 when you heard the news?
