Whenever Tami and I are around our grandkids, we always comment what a complete blast it is to be with them. We also comment how tired we are and how glad we are that we no longer have little ones 24/7. We did our time. We paid our dues. That season of life has passed. There are lots of things that we remember about raising our kids, but there are lots of things we have forgotten. Sleep patterns are one of those forgotten things. Once kids become teenagers, they sleep even longer than their parents do. But when they were younger, the kids were always up at the crack of dawn. Thank goodness those days are over.
