Much has been said about some NFL players kneeling for the national anthem. I have always said it is their 1st amendment right to do so, but I find it extremely disrespectful for them to do it on the field. You want to protest peacefully? That's fine. Do it on your own time and not at work. Can you imagine what would happen to a teacher who decided to stage a peaceful protest during school hours? I doubt we would get multi-million dollar endorsements from Nike. The photo below is very touching. Here's an able bodied man helping a disabled man stand for the national anthem. That act of kindness is cool enough. What makes it even better is knowing this is a New Orleans Saints fan in New York helping a Giants fan stand. Here is a disabled man doing everything within his limited capabilities to stand and have respect for our nation. Whereas down on the field some of the finest physical specimens (and most well paid athletes) in the world kneel. It's quite the contrast, don't ya think? It speaks volumes!
