Sad week for foodies

Okay. Everybody sing along, and don't act like you don't know the song...

Two all-beef patties, special sauce, lettuce, cheese, pickles, onion, on a sesame seed bun...

Anybody over the age of 40 will remember that jingle for McDonald's Big Mac. Well...

This has been a sad week for foodies. Earlier this week the creator of the Big Mac passed away and today the creator of General Tso's chicken passed away.

Jim Delligatti created the Big Mac in Uniontown, Pennsylvania in April 1967. A chinese chef whose name I couldn't begin to pronounce created the yummy General Tso's chicken in New York City in 1973. The Big Mac is arguably the most iconic burger in American history. General Tso's chicken is one of the most well known dishes in Chinese restaurants across the nation. Sadly these two men are gone, but their classic food creations will live forever.

Now if you'll excuse me, I need to go. I am craving a Big Mac and Chinese takeout.
