Today is the first day of fall, but you'd never know it looking outside. It appears summer intends to stick around a bit longer and that is fine with me.
Although the weather says summer, the calendar says fall and my annual autumn bout with the blues is starting to rear its ugly head. With the arrival of October late next week, I know the blues will only get worse. I have no idea why this happens to me, but I tend to think it's because some important people in my life died in the fall. It probably has something to do with the school year starting again. Whatever the cause, these blues are a very real part of my life every year.
The only thing worse than the autumn blahs is the winter blues. Oh joy!
