Turkey Day?

This morning I heard a radio host refer to Thursday's holiday as "Turkey Day". I'm not such a prude that I have a real problem with this moniker. I'm okay with a playful name for a holiday as long as the real name and meaning behind the holiday are not lost. Thanksgiving is exactly what it is labeled. A day of giving thanks. More specifically it's a day to thank God for his provision and blessing throughout the year. I enjoy the humorous side of Thanksgiving too. That's why Thanksgiving being called Turkey Day doesn't bother me that much. Enjoy the holiday, everybody!
