I make this statement all the time and I am completely serious when I say it. Air conditioning is one of the greatest inventions known to humankind. I'm not kidding. After the heat we've experienced this summer, I have grown to appreciate air conditioning more and more. All hail Willis Carrier the inventor of modern day air conditioning.
