Slow and Steady---Fills the Pool

The pool liner was installed on Sunday. The pool guy said we needed to get a water truck to deliver a load of water to set the liner in place. If we didn't get this "flash" of water, the liner could possibly shift and wrinkle. The pool holds 14,000 gallons and the truck delivered 1,600 gallons to get us started. That means we needed an additional 12,400 gallons to fill the pool to capacity. When using the garden hose (which I am), it takes a loooooooooong time to put 12,400 gallons of water into the pool. I have let the hose run all night the last two nights and it will run all night again tonight. By my best estimation the pool will be completely full sometime Wednesday night. This is of course taking into account the hose has not been running during the day.

I am eager to get the pool completely full. I can then add the chemicals, turn on the pump/filter and get the water moving. Then all we need is a bunch of warm days in a row and we'll be lounging in the pool!
