Due to some specific health needs, my mother-in-law (Nancy) flew to Phoenix, Arizona last week to care for her son and daughter-in-law. This trip left my father-in-law, Frank, home alone for an extended period of time. Frank is a big boy and completely capable of caring for himself. However, that didn't stop his three daughters from checking in on him occasionally and taking him out to dinner (although there was no worry that he would starve to death). We've all had a good time ribbing Frank about his new found (albeit temporary) bachelor life. We've been joking with him saying he has been having so much fun that maybe Nancy should have stayed in Arizona a few more weeks. The truth is, Frank is very happy to have his wife back home.
Our part in keeping Frank entertained involved picking him up and taking him to Sveta's birthday party on Saturday. We were all glad he went and he said he wouldn't have missed it for the world anyway.
Nancy flew home to Indiana last night and Frank's bachelor life once again came to a screeching halt.
Welcome home, Nancy!
