Yesterday was an important day. Two years ago yesterday Jessi and Barry received full custody of Sveta. In the adoption world it's called "Gotcha Day". However, Jessi and Barry said that sounded too much like a kidnapping and renamed it "Family Day". February 1st, 2012 was family day for the Mortons. It blows my mind to think Sveta has been here for two years. It seems like only yesterday we were waiting for the phone call from Jessi and Barry saying it was time to travel to Russia. On the other hand, it seems as though Sveta has been here forever. It's difficult to remember a time when she wasn't a part of our family. Happy Family Day, Mortons! (One day late, sorry).
