February 8th, 2012. Two years ago today, Jessi and Barry landed at the Greater Cincinnati airport with our granddaughter, Sveta. It was the most joyous homecoming you could ever imagine. I will never forget how she ran around the International Arrivals area and greeted the other children and basically acted like she owned the place. The crowd stood back quietly so as to not overwhelm her and watched the newest member of our family steal everyones' hearts. It was the first time we'd seen her in person and it was glorious!
Here we are two years later and it's as if Sveta has always been here. I struggle to remember a time when she wasn't a part of the family. Time has a strange way of affecting our perception. Two years is a relatively short period of time. We waited so long for Sveta to come home, but that seems like a lifetime ago. A distant memory. The important thing is she's been here for two years and she has brought us so much joy and has been a tremendous blessing to many people.
Happy Homecoming Anniversary, Sveta! Goppa loves you!
As always, none of this would be possible without a great and almighty God, To Him be the glory today and forever!
Soli Deo Gloria!
